So there's an abundance of ore you certainly don't need to "look for all the secrets". I've not replayed levels to find more ore. I've not collected all the ore from previous maps I've finished. Secondly, I've not finished the campaign and I have managed to buy all the extra abilities and guns.

The actual map secrets are far more obscure and it isn't obvious where they might or how to activate them. They even put them right in front of you to collect sometimes. They are usually in fairly obvious places, they glow, they show them behind glass, and they show up on the automap real nice. The shop is unnecessary and the ores are unnecessary.įirst of all ore isn't a map secret.

Man, just first mission after shop is opened - 2/3 ammo there is for plasma gun! It is like: Oh you wanna get a new guns bro? Ya know, like in EA? Find them in secrets or get in specific point of campain? Like in normal game? That would make sense, since what you're collecting -runes- are getting fought over by both sides and you're just running around collecting them for delivery to your actual "boss" and have been playing "keep away" the entire time.I hate this shop idea. Something's really screwy about all that, which is why I think the player is actually from THAT part in the ending you probably haven't gotten to yet. You also do not deliver any runes to Prodeus, you keep them with you the entire time. In addition, none of the human enemies can get "converted." Only pure chaos ones.
All their entities are universally hostile toward you, and you go around in the dimension of order just breaking absolutely everything you can manage to put a bullet explosive, plasma round, or lightning bolt into. I'm up in the air about your character actually being Prodean, though. If you want to see it, it's hidden in "Excavation." Then you press a button you weren't meant to and make things go totally bonkers.

There's one terminal that mentions a ship full of prisoners on death row meant to "be the first ones to enter a new dimension, or die trying." Where you wake up is outside your holding cell presumably, where you were going to be killed at the portal being teleported in an experiment.
